The d C*NT POLICEMAN

The day was all ok for me...the regular stuff...media lists, meetings, understand the new client and some more meetings...nothing out of the blue - nothing except one:
My leave (if you consider leaving 2 hrs early a 'leave'!) was finally sanctioned. After two weeks of pleading with my manager and lots of fights with my parents (for not getting a 'leave'), it was finally approved today!

Starting tomorrow evening, I will leave for my hometown (Gondal, Gujarat) and will be back on Tuesday.

Anyway, coming to today - i left office @ 6:50 today and went to the saloon. Groomed myself to the presentable level and reached home. Got ready in 10 mins (SHOCKING? - FOR ME TOO!).

Left for the Morellato Gitanjali fashion show in my bro's car. Had to meet two friends at Dadar and go ahead. @ Dadar, this S-O-A-G Policewala knocks on the window and asks for my bro's license. The next thing I know he is giving us a ticket! Obviously it irked me and i pounced at every opportunity on him.

He took the license n did not make a carbon of the ticket! The c*nt took us to the central station and made us pay the so-called fine. Delayed us by over an hour late for the fashion show, missing the most supposedly-crucial part and creating a ruckus in my unmarried-but-taken life. I so hate this bastatd for this!

Anyway, until tomorrow, ADIOS!

A new start

One of the most saddening yet exciting days, today marked a new start for me. With me officially off my old client (Philips) and onto a new one (Lupin) opened a lot of avenues for me.

It made me move partly out of my comfort zone and prepared me to take on further challenges. Movinf from a healthcare focussed client to a much larger (and with a lot more expectations), I move onto Lupin.

The day started with me getting up way early than usual, catching one of the earlier trains and reaching office earlier than anyone else. Tracking papers to hunt down journalists was the 'task of the day '.

Post the media list update, i got down to meetings and plannings and responded to a slew of questions thrown at me by my manager (now AD). Though I was good with whatever he asked, it still freaks me out to respond to him.

This was followed by a not-so-succesful attempt by the team to connect with the new client. He was busy as usual. Nevertheless, we moved on and closed our 'plan' for an upcoming announcement. I shared the same with my team left for my place.

Well, getting a cab was another pain altogether. We waited for a full fledged 20 minutes to get a cab! We reached the station finally, left a trin and caught the next - better and emptier.

Coming home, I saw the IBH (supposedly 'you cannot not know what it is' - my soon-to-be-AD-manager said so), had my dinner, got back to writing my blog - which btw you are reading right now!

Until tomorrow - bye and have a wonderful evening!

A weirdly hectic day

Start of the day: Got up on time to attend to the norning routine. Left home before my usual time. Caught a 15 minute earlier train than usual. Reached CST @ 9:40. At the share-a-cab stand were policemen diverting all cabs. Reached office @ 10:00 - was supposed to reach @ 9:30.
HECTIC!!

Reached office, got into helping my junior. Closed some stuff for my Soon-to-be ex clients through the day assuming the deadline is today (it is tomorrow!).
HECTIC!!

On my way to the station, got a call from my almost-already manager for tons of work expected to start tomorrow - briefed the same to my junior who was with me. Got hurriedly into the train, it was coming as I was entering the station. Managed to get a seat, but got a call from my manager-now-soon-to-be-director asking a zillion stuff. Could feel the tension in his voice - he assured me a hectic life ahead (words used - you will have your b*lls in your mouth). Again hurriedly breifed my junior.
HECTIC!!

Came home, hurriedly had my dinner and currently all set to go down again - got someone waiting for me. Will take a round, come home, watch Obama's swearing in, hear his speech and will quickly go off to sleep.
HECTIC!!

Damn, this is one helluva 'weirdly' hectic day...

Another weekstart...

Woke up in the morning - groggy eyed, sleepy faced, wanting not to go to work. But really, does it really ever happen? Add to it the pressure of reaching early for the Monday morning meetings - the perfect stage for actually having the MONDAY MORNING BLUES. So next time dont blame me!

Reaching the station, I was met with one of the worst crowded trains, not managing to get in. This was followed by another train that had an extensive (and exhausting) 5 minute halt at Wadala. Beating all this, i managed to reach office sharp at 10 - late for the meeting but in time to not be thrown out.

The day was usual, starting with a meeting, some breaking news and more importantly - a new team member. it carried on with induction meetings and other not-so-great events and concluded with the worse - TIMESHEETS.

Return to the station was again uneventful, the train had long intervals (but we managed to get a seat after missing 1 train).

Basically a day of missed trains, new member introduction and meetings.

That was the update of the day - until tomorrow, SAYONARA!!
